Description:
Vessel Manager - CSV108 JOB DESCRIPTION: The Vessel Manager is responsible, as the single point of contact, for directing, monitoring and reviewing designated Subsea vessel operations, paying particular attention to vessel reliability, regulatory standards and safety. The Vessel Manager deals with all technical and operational matters and coordinates with stakeholders to set and achieve Company, Project and Vessel goals. The job function is performed within EPC Corp established policies and procedures, and national/ international marine standards. The Vessel Manager ensures that a consistent level of marine and vessel operation and professionalism is established and maintained at all times. The Vessel Manager will report directly to the Senior Vessel Manager, and has supervisory responsibility for the Masters, Chief Engineers and Fleet Operations Associates associated with his or her assigned vessels. Travel Up to 50% Job Requirements Education: Preferred Master Mariner or First Class Motor Certificate of Competency, combined with either a Diploma in Nautical Science, Diploma of Technology in Marine Engineering, Bachelor of Maritime Studies Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience in the Offshore Oil & Gas, Subsea and/or Marine industry Experience: Demonstrated Vessel Management Experience Minimum five (5) years experience working in a similar operational or technical leadership role within the Marine Industry Ten (10) years experience working in the Marine Offshore Sector on a Vessel as a Senior Officer/Engineer or requisite educational equivalent with at least 5 years Vessel Logistics and Care/Custody experience Previous experience and success working with Classification Societies and other relevant regulatory bodies Qualification: Proven ability to develop and introduce efficient and cost effective means of technical vessel management Superior leadership, coaching, mentoring and people management skills Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with both internal and external stakeholders Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution and problem solving abilities
