  • Identify, evaluate technical and economic merits, recommend and execute on oil and gas investment opportunities
  • Conduct internal reserve and economic evaluation of acquisition, drilling, recompletion, and workover opportunities utilizing appropriate economic and engineering applications
  • Develop and ensure timely execution of field exploitation plans for existing assets
  • Utilize surveillance tools to monitor production and injection performance; make recommendations as necessary to maximize value/efficiency
  • Recommend necessary cased hole logs and/or surveys to monitor production and assist in recomplete/workover/flow optimization recommendations
  • Complete budgeting, forecasting, and reserve/economic analysis for year end reserve reporting on existing assets
  • Some engineers may be responsible for writing surveillance and well intervention programs including performing rig and non-rig (coil tubing) workovers: gas & water shut-offs, plugs, straddle liners, tubing patches/repair, pull and run new tubing
  • Leadership role in the development and implementation of growth strategies

  • This employee must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the following software packages: Peep, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and other standard engineering applications.
  • The employee must be self directed and capable of working in a small team environment along with other Engineers and Geoscientists.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Adept at interaction with a variety of contacts, internal and external, including management, industry partners and financial institutions.

Job Description - Reservoir Engineering Advisor - US Land Job Description Reservoir Engineering Advisor - US Land (Job Number: 1202899) Description Corporate has an immediate opening for a Reservoir Advisor position in US Land group in either: Houston, Pittsburgh and San Antonio. RDS serves the oil & gas industry in developing reservoir-driven solutions covering the full asset life cycle, from the earliest phases of project development through abandonment. Our global teams in Aberdeen, London, Delft, Dubai, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Perth, Calgary, Buenos Aires, and Houston work diligently to find and maximize reserves; increase production rates and recovery factors; select, define, execute field development plans and analyze acquisition and divestiture options. SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES: The Principal Advisor will have the following key priorities: Acts as consulting expert for geomarket providing advice focused on the life cycle of the reservoir and value chain. Partners with geomarket sales staff to ensure that the customer’s technical needs are clearly understood and defined in order to prepare an effective outline/tender, solution, and forecasted needs. Collaborate with each of the product lines to define a cohesive product and service offering for the customer by analyzing the customer's needs, reservoir, and production outlook. Interface with the customers and geomarket to support the agreed to direction and strategies to best capture the market opportunity. Provide management and technical support to the geomarket. Provide technical selling support and recommendations for key field applications. Help identify new opportunities and development strategies.
