Description:
Job Title Director Fleet Operations Job Description •Responsible for providing subject matter expertise on vessel classification societies as well as gatekeeper of all interfaces with the vessel classifications. •Ensure compliance on all statutory and classification review and actions as well as develop and implement procedural requirements as it relates to offshore marine activities. •Provide leadership, management, and support of the Vessel Assurance Program to ensure that program meets and exceeds expectations. •Responsible for managing and building key offshore marine vendor relationships and providing technical expertise as it pertains to tendering, evaluations, selection, start-up, performance oversight of the vendors. •Provide leadership and support with Charter Vessel Evaluations and Vessel Concept Evaluations. •Act as primary owner and focal point of the vessel audit process and actions. •Responsible for DP vessel operations such as DP capability plot Management/assessment and providing SME on DP Rules. •Maintain and ensure Offshore/Marine Operations Manuals are consistent with ABS’s operating procedures and up-to-date at all times. •Responsible for being the designated person ashore acting as a liaison between the Company and those on board the vessel as well as ensuring the safety of the vessel. •Responsible for the tender phase vessel qualification. •Manage and act as the owner of the Project interface management plan procedures and registries while ensuring interface agreements are developed and implemented accordingly, as well as ensuring interfaces are identified between parties. •Develop and execute a project interface plan. •Monitor and provide training to the project team to ensure requirements are met as well as efficiency and provide resolution to critical issues that may arise during the interface. Travel Up to 25% Job Type Regular Date Required Job Requirements Education: •Technical college or equivalent experience Experience: •Minimum 15 years of working experience in oil & gas industry with a major contractor or consultant. •Must have maritime management experience, including leading teams remotely, of different nationalities and cultures Qualifications: •Organized and disciplined individual with well-developed communication skills. •Demonstrate an ability to accomplish established objectives within a diverse corporate environment including within an international environment. •Must have a high level of commitment in order to meet the demands of the workload. •Project management and coordination skills. Ability to plan, organize and execute projects – ability to oversee/ multiple projects and assignments. •Working knowledge of Class Societies Rules & Regulations, Flag State Requirements, Industry Standards. •Strong written, verbal and presentation skills. •Ability to interact well with others at all levels of supervision and management.
