Description:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Education and Experience are as follows: • Master or PhD degree in Ocean, Civil, Mechanical or closely related Engineering field. • 10-15 years industry experience with a recognized engineering company • Specific experience needs to include hand-on design and analysis of riser systems, SCR’s, flexibles and/or other riser types • Strong background in hydrodynamics, solid mechanics and fluid mechanics • Working knowledge in ABAQUS, FLEXCOM 3-D, and/or ORCAFLEX • Must be self-motivated individual with ability to supervise and guide technical personnel. • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a team are essential. • Previous team lead or supervisory experience is highly preferred PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Major responsibilities can be summarized as follows: • Take lead role in the sizing, developing the payloads, design and analysis of TTR’s, SCR, flexibles and/or other riser types o Responsible for designing and performing hydrodynamic analysis of risers due to current, wave and wind loads o Perform optimization, static and dynamic strength analysis of riser o Conduct fatigue analysis of risers o VIV analysis and interference analysis • Supervise and provide guide to junior engineers for riser related technical activities • Provide technical support for bids, proposals and other marketing activities. • Interface with clients and third-parties on technical issues • Define procedures for analysis and identify the related software to develop the relevant tools
