KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Resolving complex drilling problems at well sites. Working on the rig floor performing sliding calculations and strapping tools. Submitting morning reports and ordering tools. Communicating with the Company Man about job status. Coordinating with the Field Supervisor to ensure objectives have been met. Mentoring other team members. Maintaining frequent internal and external customer contacts with professionalism. Performing other related duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 16+ months of directional drilling experience. 6+ month experience working as a lead hand supervising the daily requirements of drilling horizontal wells. Successful completion of advanced technical training and well site development programs. Intermediate mathematical and mechanical aptitude. Intermediate computer skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS 2 year College or Technical Degree. 2+ years of directional drilling experience that includes1+ year of experience supervising the daily requirements for drilling horizontal wells. Demonstrated ability to perform complex mathematical calculations. The ability to utilize laptop computers and utilize MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and other proprietary software applications. A positive attitude with attention to detail and safety is strongly desired. Must have the ability to work as a team and take direction from Field Supervisors and others at the well site. OTHER DETAILS Must live within 6 hours of Oklahoma City, OK. Vehicle allowance. May consider Candidates with 6+ months of directional drilling experience. Must be physically capable of performing responsibilities and other duties required for this position. Work schedules at well sites are typically 26+ days per month. Must be willing to work day and night shifts (6:00 AM to 6:00 PM & 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM). Must be available to work overtime and on-call at the well site when needed. Must be authorized to work in the United States with no restrictions.
