Description:
Job Title - Subsea Installation Engineer Job Description · Must have in depth knowledge of Subsea Installation Engineering including design of installation aids for assets such as Pipeline, Flexible, Umbilicals, Flying Leads, Subsea PLETs/PLEMs, manifold, jumpers, suction files. · Ability to lead, direct and supervise a team of Installation Engineers with keeping regular and close contact with the team. · Works independently with minimum supervision, reporting to the Project Engineering Manager · Ensure proper execution of installation contracts · Ensure that Company QHES guidelines as well as relevant legislation and Client procedures and standards are followed · Attends PMT progress and report progress based on schedule and CTRs assigned. · Handles Internal interface issues with Subsea vendors and Subsea Engineering group who are responsible for design and technical selection of subsea assets assigned for EPC Corp. to install (umbilical, flexible, jumpers, PIP etc.). · Lead each Engineer in phases of Marine analytical work, typically: - Modeling Phase, preliminary runs and Convergence of the Model – the lead will ensure that the approach adopted in representing the system to be analyzed will provide a reasonably realistic outcome considering the limitation of software in use - Establish and running analytical cases (Loads or Displacement based)- the lead will help optimize the number of cases required and not have more cases than required - Optimize and sensitivity runs - Interpretation of Output Data Travel Up to 25% Job Requirements Education: Required BS in Mechanical or Civil Engineering Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years experience in offshore design or engineering environment preferably dealing in deepwater installation solutions. Working knowledge of design and offshore project execution Qualification: Possess reasonable knowledge of Marine related BS, DNV, and ASME codes Familiar with Orcaflex, Mathcad sheets and usual structural software like STAAD, Frame Solver, etc. Strong networking and leadersship skills
