Business Development Manager Job Number: Description The Morrow Group has an immediate opening for Manager Business Development in Houston, TX. Client serves the oil & gas industry in developing reservoir-driven solutions covering the full asset life cycle, from the earliest phases of project development through abandonment. Our global teams in Aberdeen, London, Delft, Dubai, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Perth, Calgary, Buenos Aires, and Houston work diligently to find and maximize reserves; increase production rates and recovery factors; select, define, execute field development plans and analyze acquisition and divestiture options. Client Subsurface Integrity & Evaluation (SIE) is a newly formed commercial consulting group performing geosciences, geomechanics (GMI) and real-time advice for the Oil & Gas Industry, using proprietary software. Our SIE group is quickly expanding its global operations and is now seeking talented and motivated professionals to join our dynamic organization. Responsibilities: • Responsible for selling consulting and training solutions in Houston, Midland, Denver and OK City. • Works closely with the Region Manager to ensure that there is a steady flow of work to enable revenue targets to be met. • Maintain client contacts to develop opportunities for Geomechanics consulting services. • Coordinate client’s regional offices to develop accounts. • Assures business strategies are consistent with overall objectives for the organization. • Prioritizes service opportunities to maximize sales and profits. • Help prepare proposals and work with contract support team to insure legal documents are in place. Skill Requirements: • Combination of sales experience and strong technical background with a degree in engineering or geosciences required preferred. • A highly effective communicator with proven presentation skills. • Thorough understanding of customer requirements and market conditions. • Good business acumen. • Commitment to customer service. • Experience in geosciences and drilling operations will be of value. • Technical sales background required. • Familiarity with drilling operations a plus. • Travel within the region is required. Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in engineering or geosciences or equivalent. 8+ years experience in related field with 2 years minimum
